Next Meeting February 26

This website will aid the direction of the Facilities and Planning Committee in deciding how the sales-tax revenue will be spent to improve Hanawalt Elementary School. As the process continues, we'll be sharing the options and discussions with the community so you can tell us what you'd like the Hanawalt of the future to look like.

The next meeting of the Hanawalt Facilities Planning Committee has been scheduled for Tuesday, February 26, 6:30 p.m. in the Hanawalt library. At that meeting we will be discussing actual design options and their associated costs. These will address site, mechanical, structural, architectural, and building program issues. They will also allow us to firm up the building program by testing solutions. The information brought to and generated by this workshop would then be available for display during the upcoming parent-teacher conferences.

The presentation and workshop facilitation will be primarily conducted by Bob Olson/Invision Architecture, Steve Miller/ Rozeboom Miller Architects, and Ann Reinhart/Brian Clark and Associates.

In the coming months we will be developing and finalizing an architectural plan for Hanawalt Elementary. These meetings are open to the public. You are encouraged to bring your thoughts and ideas to the table during the upcoming planning sessions. If you cannot attend a meeting but have ideas you wish to contribute, please e-mail them to Bob Olson.

For more information contact Sharon Walsh, Facility Planning Team Chairperson (255-2552).
